The Miracle of Lexie Chihuahua

I would like to tell you the story of a very special little Chihuahua girl. Her name is Lexie (short for Alexa) and I call her my "grand-puppy. " She came to me through a series of miracles that I believe were orchestrated by my son, Brian Michael, before his passing on February 22, 2003. Lexie has brought more comfort and love to me than I can even describe. She has been my constant companion and my live connection with Brian.

Gods Love is Not Humanitys Love

Is There More To This Life?

I often ask myself this question. Not in the times of prosperity or when everything is going great. But, in the times when I feel alone or everything seems to be stagnant. There has been this lurking question underneath all the good times and all the bad times. When life is going great, I sense that this is what life is all about. In the bad times, I have to wonder if this is what life is supposed to be.

Satan... Im Not Impressed!

One important factor in how we go through life is our attitudes. The way we think, whether positively or negatively will have a very big affect upon what happens to us during this course of a lifetime. It determines where we will spend eternity.

Tsunami Animals Hint At Our True Nature

We as human beings consider ourselves the most intelligent species on the planet and attribute this to the evolutionary development of the human brain. Given the advanced state of our technology we would without a doubt concede this as the truth. Yet at the onset of the Trunami in the South Pacific late last year it was our species that was caught off guard.

Making the Impossible Possible

"I learned I was not, as most Africans believed, the victim of my circumstances but the master of them." - Legson Kayira

Christening and Baptism Favor Ideas

Baptism and christening ceremonies are an important event that signifies the start of a child's spiritual life. As a common courtesy to guests who attend these ceremonies, the parents of the child or the host of the event often obtain party favors as a gift. Here are some themes and ideas that are appropriate for these occasions:

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32, NIV

Did You Use Your Sword Today?

It's real easy to look at the physical world around us and not see swords being used. To even find one it is often necessary to go to a museum. So what am I talking about?

Vacation Pilgrimage

I heard recently on a Christian radio station somebody talking about turning a vacation into a pilgrimage or a sabbath time, an opportunity to get closer to God. The speaker said that there is no word in ancient languages equivalent to the word "vacation". While I don't think that's true (the word has it's origins in the Latin), I would agree if she had said that ancient people probably did not generally have time for vacationing since they were often more preocuppied with daily survival. The closest these people may have ever gotten to a vacation could have been a religious pilgrimage.

When Goliath Comes

One does not have to live long to realize that along the pilgrim?s path are many battles to be fought and enemies to be overcome and we should not be surprised when new trials come our way. It does not matter how victorious we may have been in one battle, we cannot get too comfortable because there will be other combats with other giants.

Mind Walls

Walls as a blockade seem to be an integral part of our society. Almost from the beginning of man?s pilgrimage here on earth, there have been walls which have bound and imprisoned mankind. These walls are designed supposedly to protect our society, to safeguard us from taboo and abnormal personality traits. But it should be considered that mankind down through the ages has deliberately and voluntarily erected walls to shut out segments of society.

Fear Base Society

In today?s world we worry about everything, food, jobs, clothing, shelter, children, husbands, etc. But what does the Bible say about fear and what shall I fear. First lets look at Psalms 111:10 it says; The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. I would like to think that all people want a good understanding of things. So I guess the first step is fear the Lord and follow his precepts for understanding. Some might ask, well how do we fear the Lord.
