Let Your Will, Not Mine, Be Done

Can I be honest with you? There are days when I just don?t feel like getting up in the morning. I?m noticing this a lot lately because the weather is changing and it?s pretty cold early in the morning when I awake to start my day. There are days when I move that blanket off of me and quickly snatch it back because it?s too cold to get up. I know I HAVE to get up, especially because it?s cold and I know I have to turn the heat on so it?s warm when the rest of my family gets up to start their day.

I?m Too Busy for Me

Everyone is busy nowadays. It?s hard to find time for anything. From the time we wake up in the morning until the time we go to bed, it?s hard to find 30 minutes to simply be by yourself. If you are married with children, I know you can relate to what I am saying.

The S Word

We all sin. To avoid using the "s" word, we may call it by other less penetrating names; politically correct names. But sin by any other name remains what it is, sin. It is not uncommon for man to blame external causes and conditions for our troubles and sicknesses, while all the time the real trouble is sin.

Spiritual Friendships

Friends out of convenience are friendships that you might have simply because you both are accessible to one another. These friendships are common in a work or school environment as people are united by place alone. You might even term these friendships as ?associates? instead of friends, because you associate with one another because you feel that you have to.

One More Mile

I want to share with you something that happened to me just a few weeks ago. There is a place that I go to write, read and to simply relax. This place is in the mountains along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The scenery is beautiful and I go and pray and take in God?s beauty. I love it there because it is quiet and the only thing that I can hear is the chirping of birds and the wind. I embrace the silence. That?s peculiar of me since most of my life has been classified by business and noise because I never wanted the silence. I was scared of it. Months later, I love it.
