Is It Real?
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. --2 CORINTHIANS 5:17, KJV
It may have happened to you at a Billy Graham Crusade. Perhaps it was during a telecast of The 700 Club or during a conversation with a friend. Maybe you were alone with God when it happened. But some-how, someplace deep within, you believed that Jesus of Nazareth, God's Son, died for your sins and rose from the dead to be your Lord and Savior. Then that belief grew into action, and you called out, "Jesus, I take You as my Savior. I surrender to You. Be the Lord of my life!"
Then something wonderful happened. A deep peace came over you. No more internal fighting. No more running. Your sins were for-given. You were part of the family of God. It was as if you had been born all over again. Old things were gone; everything was new. For the first time, you truly understood God's love.
But now some time has passed, and you're wondering if anything has changed. It is common for new Christians to wonder if anything actually happened when they prayed. It seemed so wonderful, so easy-almost too good to be true-that many have thought that maybe it wasn't true at all.
In a court of law, the truth of a matter is established by evidence. The statements of witnesses are accepted in court as valid evidence. To prove the reality of your experience with Christ, God has given you three witnesses: His Word, His Holy Spirit, and your changed life. As you examine the Word, as you receive the assurance provided by the Holy Spirit, and as you look at the evidence of your new life, you will know that blessed assurance that Jesus is truly yours!

Getting the Feel of Your Faith
Whether we admit it or not, we operate by emotion. Our comfort level, attitude, and efficience are largely determined by how we feel. Getting the feel of your faith enables you to be confident and comfortable with your spiritual condition. It determines your influence, where and how often you attend church services, and what you do for the Lord.
Discover Who You Are And Why You Are Here
You are a Creative Worker:
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32, NIV
Humanity Needs Islam
The human nature means the soul and the body. A man without a spiritual life is no longer a man. Equally, whoever proclaims that spiritual training can delete the materialistic demands of that body is a devil in the clothes of a saint. Can he give up sleeping? Is he ready to destroy his body and to be a soul flying in the world of ideals?
Beyond Normal - The Liquid Level Of Consciousness
I am not enlightened, and yet, I am no longer "normal." Since you are reading this, I suspect you probably feel the same. Somewhere between the normal, Solid level of consciousness and the transparent, Ethereal level of enlightenment, lies a very fluid, Liquid level of awareness.
A Mothers Battle
The tongue is such a tiny little organ. Yet, it can be one of the most powerful weapons. James 3 has a lot to say about the tongue? I suggest that you read the entire chapter. (It's very short)? Anyway, verse 6 says; And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is a world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body? Whew, those are some strong words?but, wait, that's not all. Proverbs 18:21 tells us; Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it for death or life. It is scary to think that my mouth has that much power.
The Healing Power Of Forgiveness
Forgiveness breaks all bounds of repression and depression. It liberates the psyche from bondage to the past.
It is my personal view that the reason we call things that we don't understand "miracles" is because we are trying to understand them within a very limited framework. This framework is that of our beliefs which have been based largely on scientific inquiry and also exclusively on the use of our intellect or rational mind.
The Traitor Within
Life is like an obstacle course in which we run like an Olympian athlete and at times getting nowhere. We exert a lot of energy trying to avoid life's ditches, jump over the potholes, leap across stumbling blocks, miss the dangers, and somehow sidestep the troubles. Of course, we could significantly improve our quality of life if we took the time to seriously think through our responses to situations. A load of troubles can be alleviated by a little forethought, a little preparation, and a little contrivance.
Searchable by Jesus
Some people go to physics and spiritual readers for advice for one thing or another. Who can search all things and give us the truth. Lets see what the Bible say about things that are searchable. First look in the book of 1Chronicles 28:9 it says And you my son Solomon, acknowledge the hearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts, If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him he will reject you forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.
Surrounded By His Glory
As communion was being passed this morning, I listened to the song "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. I fought to keep the tears in my eyes. I didn't want break down sobbing during that incredible song like normal. Being in a wheelchair and physically disabled, the chorus brings fantastic, breathtaking images to my mind: "Surrounded by Your glory,
Not Upon My Convictions but Upon the Blood of Jesus
"He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2: 13b -15, NIV
Wanted: Floodlight Of Treasure To Undo The Works Of Darkness!
'Jesus answered, are there not twelve hours in a day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, becaue he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him...'(John 11:9-10)
Today we do not experience great manifestations of God as Moses did many years ago. God has not spoken to us out of a burning bush and neither have we heard His voice as He walked in the cool of the day in the Garden of Eden. We have not looked up over our place of worship and seen the Shekinah glory of God in a visible way. But God does reach into our hearts and into our life and speak to us through gentle whispers.
Why Isnt God Helping Me?
Have you ever felt like throwing up your arms and saying "I quit! I just can't change! I thought when God came into my life things would get better, but they haven't." It doesn't matter if you're a new Christian or have been a Christian for a number of years, these feelings can creep in and set you up for confusion and frustration.
Whenever we have the opportunity to make human assessments, the assessments we make will always betray our doctrine of man. We can always glean from what one person has to say about another, their doctrine or philosophy concerning man in general.
Wear the Message of Grace: A Work Weeks Devotions
As the artist and designer for Ashbach Designs, I want more than for you to just wear a piece of pretty jewelry, I want you to wear each piece as a symbol of your faith. In keeping with this idea, I have created a work week's devotions to go with your jewelry, or another special faith symbol in your life. Each day, meditate on how you can use your jewelry to connect with others, share the message, and remind yourself where your true passion lies. Monday: Connect Colossians 2:2-3 "My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
Heroes and Heroines - Contemplating Conscious Evolution
The myths of man have been with us throughout time. Since the earliest of cave drawings to modern books and film, the myths of man have been the creators of man, providing both meaning and symbolism to his / her life.
Building The Body of Christ
As a walked across the gym floor with perspiration coming from my brow, my wife, Denise said "honey, you're a bodybuilder". I looked at her with amazement was my wife just getting it. I had been building this body for more than twenty years. Then again she said, "You're a bodybuilder", it was then that I got the revelation she was speaking of the body of Christ. She was saying what Paul was inspired to say in Ephesians 4:12 "to prepare God's people for works of service, so the body of Christ may be built up." Since that day neither of our lives will be the same.
Who is the more spiritual person? The woman out on a Sunday morning excursion for coffee and a newspaper who swerves to avoid hitting a dog, or is it, the man who hits the dog in his haste to get to church on time? Who knows? My point is that going to church has absolutely nothing to do with being a good person.
